Further Reading Print No. 2 presents a multifaceted look at how ‘Boundaries’ are defined across disciplines through a diverse set of perspectives.
On this issue, they are joined by distinctive voices from Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Seoul and Melbourne, all the way to Berlin and Copenhagen - including Niniveh co-founder and versatile photographer, Chris Bunjamin. The subject is dissected through the context of design, pedagogy, materiality, linearity, governance, etc. by the lens of differing backgrounds and experiences. Across 22 articles, ‘Boundaries’ is explored in essays, visual essays, and other formats.
Through this 2nd edition, Further Reading aims to identify and examine the boundaries — inside and around each one of us — that have shaped our practices, our surroundings, the topics that we deal with everyday as well as the ways we navigate ourselves, along with the influences that are impacting our everyday lives.
Further Reading is an independent multi-format publishing platform that compiles reading references, produces design periodicals, curates exhibitions and organises workshops. They seek to engage in discourse within design practices by exploring through the wider contexts.
