Skinny, a photobook by Terry Richardson
‘Skinny’ presents the personal snapshots of photographer Terry Richardson. His most intimate body of work to date, it is dedicated to Richardson’s partner Alex – who goes by the nickname of Skinny. This hardback edition essentially tells Terry and Alex’s love story, from their first vacation together to the birth of their twin boys Rex and Roman. Sentimental and touching, but still humorous and at times confrontational, Skinny stays true to Richardson's raw photographic style.
Terry Richardson is an infamous American fashion and portrait photographer, having worked with high-profile brands such as Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, and YSL, Vogue, Vanity Fair, and i-D, to name a few. Known and praised for his 'snapshot' style of photography, he often opts for a minimalistic approach, placing his subjects in mundane situations in an almost all-white background.
