The series was inspired by Chris Bunjamin's trip to Flores; the sea, far-reaching landscape, and a community of traditional weavers. Organised by Du'anyam, a social enterprise that produces and distributes wicker crafts committed to economically empower and improve the health of women in rural Indonesia.
First exhibited at 'Canaan in Flores' collaborative event, between Canaan Boutique & Gallery and KAUM Jakarta of the Potato Head Family, in partnership with Du'anyam and Hoshizora Foundation. The artworks are shown alongside Canaan x Du’anyam merchandise and KAUM's special menu of tribal delicacies from Flores.
