Warang Wayan started as a project by husband-and-wife Yuri Tsuchiya and Balinese woodworker Wayan Murjawan. The name ‘Warang’ comes from a village in Africa, an homage to Yuri’s current residence in Morocco, followed by the name ’Wayan’ referring to the founder. Their items are sensitively created by Indonesian craftsmen and the slowly passing of Balinese time within a village in the mountains. With strong appreciation of Moroccan and Indonesian workmanship, their long journey continues..
